Well, we'll see. I love driving big things, but I really don't know if I would recover from seeing people broken in pieces. Anyway, thanks as always, Val. xx

Right. There's that, too. People who actually do this withiut hesitation are rare and precious.

So, my former life was as a morning radio host. For many years and most recently in Denver, but over the course of my career, one of the constants was the number of people who would line up to grab ANYTHING that was free....key rings, drink coozies, stickers, stale granola bars, mouse pads, pens, pencils...potatoes:) We would joke that they would take our empty Starbucks cups if we offered...Seriously...put the word out that there's free stuff and it becomes a brain worm where people HAVE to grab some. I'm not sure I'd put much stock in the potato incident foretelling much of anything, other than people like free stuff and if we hear about OTHER people GETTING free stuff, we jockey to make sure that we, too GET FREE STUFF....even if we then throw it away:) Which is what I'm pretty sure happened to a lot of that cheap swag we happily unloaded onto the grasping masses. Anyway, sorry about your tomatoes...hope the pup is well.

Hello, Jane! I am sure you're right. I know you are! Thanks for sharing that funny observation. I wasn't really responding to the free-for-all as the portent so much as the image of crowds in search of food. But, your point is well taken. Pup is good! Hope yours are too! xx

The potato dash sounds crazy... kinda quirky thing that would happen here in Ireland, and as the world knows, we like our potatoes here. Except me. I'm not a fan. I'm not keen on Guinness, either. Yes, I'm really Irish. So sorry to hear about the demise of the tomato crop too. Now I do love a tomato! 💕🍅 And yes, I am worried about future food shortages too, the weather is all wrong and farmers are not able to grow enough because either it's too hot or their land is under water. Like you, I can't believe the lack of urgency or even interest in our governments. All the time we're voting for the least worst because there no longer seems to be any politicians who actually represent the people's wishes. 🤷‍♀️

Not a Guinness fan, either, but I do love taters. I don't our leaders have any agency anymore. They all sound like bots and act like it, too. But who the hell are they answering to?

The global business elite that have all the money, I think, like oil companies, for example.

I tend to think that, too, but then I ask, why? Honestly, what is it that they get out of this behavior? None of the answers I could come up with are pleasant. They all point toward hatred of everyone not them. And I also note that it is anti-human, so are they even human?
